ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلْحَىُّ ٱلْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُۥ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَّهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ ۗ مَن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يَشْفَعُ عِندَهُۥٓ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِۦ ۚ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْ ۖ وَلَا يُحِيطُونَ بِشَىْءٍ مِّنْ عِلْمِهِۦٓ إِلَّا بِمَا شَآءَ ۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ ۖ وَلَا يَـُٔودُهُۥ حِفْظُهُمَا ۚ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِىُّ ٱلْعَظِيمُ
“Allah is He besides Whom there is no god, the Everliving, the Self-subsisting by Whom all subsist; slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep; whatever is in the heavens and whatever is in the earth is His; who is he that can intercede with Him but by His permission? He knows what is before them and what is behind them, and they cannot comprehend anything out of His knowledge except what He pleases, His knowledge extends over the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of them both tires Him not, and He is the Most High, the Great.”

اللہ جس کے علاوہ کوئی خدا نہیں ہے زندہ بھی ہے اوراسی سے کِل کائنات قائم ہے اسے نہ نیند آتی ہے نہ اُونگھ آسمانوں اور زمین میں جو کچھ بھی ہے سب اسی کا ہے. کون ہے جو اس کی بارگاہ میں اس کی اجازت کے بغیر سفارش کرسکے. وہ جو کچھ ان کے سامنے ہے اور جو پبُ پشت ہے سب کوجانتا ہے اور یہ اس کے علم کے ایک حّصہ کا بھی احاطہ نہیں کرسکتے مگر وہ جس قدر چاہے. اس کی کرس علم و اقتدار زمین و آسمان سے وسیع تر ہے اور اسے ا ن کے تحفظ میں کوئی تکلیف بھی نہیں ہوتی وہ عالی مرتبہ بھی ہے اور صاحبِ عظمت بھی

خدای یکتاست که جز او خدایی نیست، زنده و پاینده است، هرگز او را کسالت خواب فرا نگیرد تا چه رسد که به خواب رود، اوست مالک آنچه در آسمانها و زمین است، که را این جرأت است که در پیشگاه او به شفاعت برخیزد مگر به فرمان او؟ علم او محیط است به آنچه پیش نظر خلق آمده و آنچه سپس خواهد آمد و خلق به هیچ مرتبه از علم او احاطه نتوانند کرد مگر به آنچه او خواهد، قلمرو علمش از آسمانها و زمین فراتر، و نگهبانی زمین و آسمان بر او آسان و بیزحمت است، و او والا مرتبه و با عظمت است.

God exists. There is no God but He, the Everlasting and the Guardian of life. Drowsiness or sleep do not seize him. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth. No one can intercede with Him for others except by His permission. He knows about people's present and past. No one can grasp anything from His knowledge besides what He has permitted them to grasp. The heavens and the earth are under His dominion. He does not experience fatigue in preserving them both. He is the Highest and the Greatest.

Writes of Ayat al-Kursi: This is the greatest verse of the Quran — the Prophet himself declared it so. It begins withAllah — there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence.Al-Hayy (the Ever-Living) denotes a life that has no beginning and no end, that depends on nothing, from which all other life derives. Al-Qayyum (the Sustainer) means that everything in existence stands by Him — if His sustaining were withdrawn for a single moment, all of creation would collapse into nothingness.Slumber does not overtake Him nor sleep' — His awareness of all creation is perfect and continuous. The Kursi (footstool) of Allah extends over the heavens and earth — a metaphor for His knowledge and power encompassing all of creation. This verse is a complete theology in a single ayah.

This verse invites us to reflect that The master of the verses of the Quran is Ayat al-Kursi. Whoever recites it after every obligatory prayer — nothing stands between him and paradise except death.And I heard the Prophet say: whoever recites Ayat al-Kursi after the obligatory prayers, Allah builds for him a palace in paradise and will reward him with the reward of the prophets and martyrs.
